Salwan Cartwright-Shamoon is a classical musician from Belfast and a music graduate from Queen’s University, Belfast, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. At college, Salwan played the role of the 1st Priest in Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflote’. For college opera scenes, he played the roles of the Steward in Dove’s ‘Flight’; Massetto in Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’ and The Duke in Bizet’s ‘The Fair Maid of Perth. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Salwan set up an online singing course which featured participates from around the world and expert guest teachers. As well as singing, Salwan enjoy playing the piano and composing.

Xizi Zhang was born in China and was offered the prestigious ABRSM International Scholarship to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the wing of Aaron Shorr and Fali Pavri. During her time at the Conservatoire, Xizi collaborated with the RCS repertoire orchestra as a soloist and participated in concerts regularly. She won the 1st prize at the Peter Lindsay Miller Prize for Piano Duo. Xizi has performed in Spain, Italy, and giving recitals in the UK, include giving lunchtime recitals at the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. Since 2018, Xizi began her study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a full scholarship, under the tutelage of John Thwaites. In 2021, Xizi graduated from RBC with an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in professional performance. Additionally, she received generous support from the Harrod Funds, Bullock Trust and Help Musician UK.
