Announcement: The Revd Jacob Pallett

The Bishop of Birmingham, the Rt Revd Dr Michael Volland is very pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Jacob Pallett as Vicar of the parish of St Alban and St Patrick Highgate. Fr Jacob is currently Assistant Curate in the parish of St Mary’s Selly Oak.

This follows a process of discernment led by the Patron, the Wardens, Fellows and Scholars of Keble College Oxford, and involving Ark St Alban’s Academy, where Fr Jacob will be Chaplain.

Fr Jacob says,

May I thank everyone for their kindness and encouragement. I am so pleased to have been appointed to Highgate, and I am grateful to Keble College Oxford and to Bishop Michael for this opportunity.

I look forward to sharing in the life, prayer, ministry and mission of the Anglo-Catholic tradition in Highgate, and to living out the Faith and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ across the city.

As I prepare to leave Selly Oak, I am deeply grateful to the people there for all that we have shared, and for all we have received from God together.

Arrangements for Fr Jacob’s institution and induction will be shared in due course, but in the meantime, please pray for him and for the people of the parish where he will serve.
