St. Alban the Martyr

For Genealogy and Family History

St Alban's Parish Baptism Registers covering August 1871 to July 1966 and Marriage Registers covering January 1900 to February 1950, together with the Baptism Registers from 1897 to 1964 and Marriage Registers from 1900 to 1964 from the former parish of St Patrick's, have been deposited with Birmingham Archives and Heritage service and are held at The Library of Birmingham. The Baptism Registers from 1871 to 1886 have been digitised and are available commercially through Ancestry.co.uk.

Later Baptism and Marriage Registers are kept at the church and may be inspected by appointment. There is no charge for searching the Marriage Register for a specific entry, although a charge is payable for a certified copy of an entry. An official fee of £28 is payable to search the Baptism Register for one hour. To arrange to search either of the registers at the church, or for a search to be made on your behalf for a modest charge, please contact one of the Churchwardens or the Vicar.

There are no Burial Registers, as St Alban's has no graveyard, nor had St Patrick's.
