Phase II Roof Renewal — 2021
This page is part of our project "Revealing St Alban's Hidden Heritage" supported by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to players of The National Lottery.
A few items associated with the roof work remained to be completed in 2021, including completion of the new access from the internal balcony to the external balcony above the west porch.
The hatch and access ladder completed.
The opening section in the lancet from the interior.

Safety wires for attaching a safety harness were also added to both this lower balcony above the porch and the high-level balcony above the rose window that gives access to the roof space.
The upper balcony safety wire (and obsolete floodlights).
